Osteonectin, also termed BM40 or SPARC (secreted protein, acidic and rich in cysteine) is a
multifunctional glycoprotein involved in tissue mineralization, cell-extracellular matrix
interactions as well as angiogenesis. It has been suggested that osteonectin may play a key
